I worked on this painting imagining early spring in Japan. Two green birds in this painting are called Japanese White-Eye. They are typical spring birds in Japan and usually seen tweeting and hanging around flower blossom in early spring. Especially they like scent and taste of plum flowers. I guess more people would think about cherry flowers as typical and traditional Japanese spring flower, but personally, I prefer plum flowers. Plum trees start blooming in early spring which is still cold for other flowers. Cute, beautiful plum flowers, which are contrasted by rough and rigid branches, blooms with delicate scent for a longer time than cherry blossom. I also put some romantic atmosphere inside.
I hope you imagine Japanese spring from this painting.
